The electricity market in Sweden consists of a great many parts that are all linked to one another. For us to maintain a reliable supply of electricity, we need to generate electricity in all parts of Sweden, to have a well-functioning electricity market, and to be able both to import and to export electricity.
The electricity transmission system operator in Sweden – “Svenska kraftnät” – has stated that all electricity users with their own power transmission and distribution agreement in electricity regions (elområde) 3 and 4 will be receiving support to help deal with the abnormally high electricity prices. Our electricity grid is in electricity region (elområde) 3, so you are entitled to receive support.
